Bootloop on custom ROMs; stock ROM OK

Hi all!

I flashed my recovery to TWRP and ever since then, I always get stuck in bootloop no matter what custom ROM I try. Flashing back to stock rom via ODIN works.
It's been a while since I've tinkered with custom ROMs so I may be missing something. Any ideas on where to start?

How to flash stock DOK2 N901T3 kernel? Issues with Wifi Calling stuck on enabling

Hi, does anyone have a flashable DOK2 stock kernel for theT9103? I purchased a new Note 4 and installed DOK2 with the beast node kernel and it won;t go past "enabling" for wifi. I tried wiping the cache and disabling and reenabling wifi calling, wifi, and airplane mode. It was so bad that I swapped it out for another note 4.I upgraded it again and iwifi calling worked on beast mode 1..1.1 kernel for a little while and now its doing the same thing. I just want to flash the stock DOK2 kernel without wiping the phone agan, I;m in another country and really really need the wifi texting and calling features, wishing I never even rooted it right now. Anyone have a flashable stock kernel? Or a verified fix for the wifi calling issue (I've searched high and low and no luck)

(Question) How to install Viper4Android on Stock MM?

I used SeLinux Mode Changer to change the kernel to permissive and Busybox too and tried to install V4A but it still didn't work. Also moved V4A to a system app, no success.
I'm on Stock based 6.0 (Marshmallux) and I don't want to flash a custom rom yet...

Help with flashing stock rom

Hi guys,

I've got a SM G9208, which came from Taiwan.
Yesterday I tried to install TWRP 2.8.7.2 and when it booted, it is non responsive, I couldn't press anything and couldn't swipe where it says swipe for modification at the bottom. This is flashed through the TWRP manager thingy.

So I thought i might as well go back to stock recovery because I can't seem to boot into the phone at all with this recovery. So I downloaded G9208ZMU2COK8_G9208CHM2COK8_G9208ZMU2COK8_HOME.tar .md5 from the sammobile website thinking that thats the one i needed, which turns out to be a mistake. Now my phone's got a chinese firmware, instead of the taiwan firmware. I tried to flash the taiwan firmware G9208ZTU1BOH2_G9208ZZT1BOH2_BRI, but it says sw rev check fail device 2 binary 1. I think this is because the bootloader for the china one is newer than the taiwan one?

Does anyone know how I can install the taiwan rom now?

also, i've tried flashing TWRP 2.8.60, 6.1, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 all to no avail.
I couldn't use my sim at all previously, but then i flashed the taiwan modem.bin and at least I have signal now.

Thanks!

Camera Problem on Stock Rom

I got this problem on my camera results. The color and texture of the images produce is such a big difference before capturing and after it captured. Its quite annoying and disappointing to see such images not quite good in quality after the update to lollipop. Im using a stock rom with Build number 18.6.A.0.175 and says that its my latest rom, I dont receive any OTA update such as 182.
Is there someone who can solve this problem?
Thanks! :)

Stock Recovery Flash ZIP

So I flashed stock with googles images. now, like an idiot, I lost my USB c to USB a adapter. So. My bootloader is still unlocked and I would like to flash supersu systemless. My question is if using the stock recovery, I could use the install update from sdcard option to install the supersu zip. So I know how to flash with it (name zip update.zip blah blah blah) but will it actually work or will it screw something up? Btw, the supers u zip is named update.zip and is in the root of sdcard. So the question is if it will work or if it will screw something up.

Also, when an OTA comes out for the 5X, will I be able to flash stock boot.img and update with system less root?

Many thanks in advance.

Downgrade from MM to Stock

Hi, I was running a MM rom for awhile and want to go back to 4.25.654.18 but I'm having issues. Flashing a stock rooted rom, the progress on the flash is really quick like it wasnt successful but it say it was and then wont boot. Is there something special needed for downgrading?

[XT925]Restore to stock 4.4.2

I'm currently running CM12.1 on an unlocked XT925. It is the European version. I want to revert back to the stock rom instead but can't find the tutorial or the files to do so. I'd be happy if I can find a complete fxz file.

Stock DOK2 for N910T is not the same as Stock DOK2 for N910T3

Question...
A couple people have compared the stock "T3" DOK2 and "T" DOK2 stock FW and have concluded they are not exactly the same.
So my question is this...
Does it matter that the Stock "T" DOK2 firmware is different then the Stock "T3" DOK2 firmware?
What if someone bases a ROM from the "T3" but has a "T" phone or vice versa?

Tmobile and Samsung have confirmed that there was a "production line change" with the T3 version.
This happened with the Note 3 too. Usually this happens when components of the device have changed manufacturers.
This is either done because of a cost reason or perhaps to resolve an issue...
(or because of cost which inadvertently resolves an issue lol...)

Either way this could mean that the stock T3 ROM contains software intended for T3 hardware.
Since the specifics of the hardware changes are not fully known and are only speculation we do not know how important this is.
However as I said before the "T3" stock DOK2 firmware is for sure different then the "T" stock DOK2 firmware.

GPS Fix on LG Stock (non-rooted) Marshmallow ?

Hi everybody !

Sometimes, I need to use my phone as a GPS and since I updated to stock marshmallow, GPS fix is really bad (can't fix or takes lonnnnnnng minutes) and regularly (too regularly...) when I drive, Google Maps says "Signal GPS Perdu" --> ("GPS signal Lost" ?) and obviously it's when i don't know the road...

In Lollipop (stock) , I thought that GPS was very bad compared to my old Galaxy SIII.
GPS fix took half a minute and sometimes it disconnects (but less than in MM when there is a fix...) (in the same location my old GSIII took 2-3 seconds and it never disconnects)

oddly, my old Asus TF700t who is on Marshmallow (KatKiss) works largely better than my G3 for the GPS (not as good as the GSIII, but it works really great) but unfortunately it's really complicated to take it on the car...

So, I would like to now if someone has these kind of problems with its G3 on stock marshmallow and if it's the case how to resolve it ?

Thank you :)
