Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-19100) Gingerbread | Rooted, but superuser not working

Hello peeps, evilbeef here! :)

So yea, I have rooted my phone a while a go :D I have used Odin v185
and I used Speed Kernel S2 K-2 -21 as the PDA file. I have found this on GalaxyS2 Root webpage

I have successfully rooted it, basically I have rooted so many phones using Odin. :laugh:But this one is different. I already have Superuser app (from google store) before I started rooting it. After I rooted it, my phone rebooted automatically. In the Startup, The phone has yellow triangle. My Phone works normally.

BUT THE PROBLEM IS, THERE IS NO REQUEST OF PERMISSION SHOWING, I ALSO USED ROOT CHECKER, IT IS NOT WORKING, IT SAYS ROOT ACCESS IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED. ALL OF THE APPS I DOWNLOADED THAT NEEDS ROOT PERMISSION ALSO DOESN'T WORK.

BUT ONE THING I AM WANDERING ABOUT IS THAT MY KERNEL VERSION CHANGED.
IT SAYS THAT: 2.6.35.7 hardcore@speedmod-s2 #k2-21

But also when I go to recovery mode, I can flash CWM recovery automatically.
The only thing that doesnt work I think is the Superuser.
I also tried checking su binary vlegacy. I also try to check for updates but superuser keeps me forcing it to close.

I think I am only having issues with Superuser I think. How Can I fix this? Please Help :D:D:D:D

Android Pay & Root - sort of working! (LP)

While playing with my phone I was surprised to find out that Android Pay will work on our Z3 Compact with an unlocked bootloader. This means you don't have drm keys, but you can alternate between having root and using Android Pay without too much trouble.

For simplicity's sake, I backed up data and drm keys, then wiped and then went back to stock 5.1.1. using PC Companion (my D5803 received 23.4.A.1.200). Then the phone was unlocked (either through fastboot or flashtool). I installed AdvancedStockKernel which comes with TWRP, but you could also fastboot flash a recovery. SuperSU (I'm using 2.66 beta) and its uninstaller (UPDATE-unSU.zip) are copied to the phone along with any other flashable zips, including xposed. If I understand it correctly, SuperSU 2.66 beta is not systemless on 5.1.1 which should mean more compatibility with root apps.

When you want to use Android Pay, uninstall SuperSU in recovery. Xposed does not have to be uninstalled. My phone, which has too many apps, takes about a minute to boot to a state where Android Pay works. When you're done with Android Pay, go back to recovery and install SuperSU again.

Hope this helps someone. If there's interest I could write a detailed guide.

Ideally, it would be best to have a locked bootloader (for drm), root and Android Pay, but it'll take someone much cleverer than me. :)

Android Pay stopped working (Systemless Root)

Anyone else having an issue with Android Pay. I am rooted (systemless) and finally decided to add a card to Android Pay. I've been able to get into Android Pay and tap the plus button to add the card just to test that it would work. I'm just now getting around to setting it up now. This time however tapping the plus button, I get the error message when you are rooted the traditional way. I didn't install any new apps that weren't directly from the Play store or that use root in any way.

I checked and noticed Android Pay was updated though. I went ahead and rebooted and was now able to add a card. But in the middle of adding another card I got the same error message. I dismissed it and was able to add another card. For some reason I could not add my Bank of America Visa though. So I haven't used it yet at a terminal. Anybody seen this issue?

Huawei G740-00 Home Button and Browser not working

Hi chaps, a big hello from cold but sunny Spain.
I'm going to dive straight in, as I've been trying (with help form threads on this forum) to sort a problem out on my pile of junk Huawei phone.

Its running Android 4.1.2 and recently I had to do a factory reset, which is something I have to do now and then to get it to play nicely again.

Anyway, since then the home button isnt doing what its supposed to and the standard browser just fires up then crashes straight away.

Would you believe it, the thing was 1 day INSIDE the warranty, but neither Orange nor Huawei will help. ( long story) It did happen once before, and Huawei reinstalled the firmware and it was fine, however, I cant seem to find the same firmware (G740-L00V100R001C109B187). I did find an earlier version, but don't know how to get it to downgrade. (I've tried)

I have unlocked the bootloader, installed Super SU, got terminal emulator and file explorer loaded and have tried a few things, but so far no results. On the plus side, I have'nt bricked the 'phone yet!

Anyone have any ideas? (apart from bining it and buying something decent?)

A big thanks.
