[EDGE FEED] AutoCocktail and Notifications [BETA]

COCKTAILBAR ALWAYS ON & AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATIONS

*ROOT REQUIRED*

This is a beta app made with Tasker , that automatically launches the cocktailbar service when the display turns off...so it's always on. Whenever a notification is received, it automatically scrolls down to the briefing feed for 30 seconds, then returns back to the weather/clock widget. It will stay on for the length of the timeout that you set for the edge screen timeout in the information stream settings screen...then it will automatically restart. It recognizes when you are on a phone call (even speakerphone) and will not turn on if the display turns off during the call.

There are still a handful of bugs when exported as a kid app though, that I'm still trying to work out.

As a project within Tasker, it recognizes when the phone is face down or in a pocket, etc, and won't turn on, to conserve battery...or if it was already on it will turn off. Cocktail will automatically turn back on when the proximity sensor becomes inactive. It does that because Tasker has a setting that monitors the proximity sensor while the screen is off. This is not working reliably in the app because Android is not monitoring the proximity sensor when the display is off...so cocktail doesn't come back on automatically. I need to find out how to change the frequency that android monitors the proximity sensor when the display is off, on a users device.

I'm hoping to get this ironed out soon and release an update with proximity working. If you test this beta, please hit thanks on the thread and provide feedback below.

Note - Samsung default behavior is to turn on the display when a new SMS/MMS is received. That defeats the purpose of this app. I recommend following these instructions to change that behaviour.

Many thanks to @trailblazer101 for the nudge in the right direction and to @Pent for developing Tasker.
