I just ordered mine!

Hello all! I'm pleased to announce that I'm one of you now. I just ordered my first phone in a long time (last was an s5 with a broken camera), an lg g4 (the h815 species thereof) for 9 like new, and I look forward to seeing what magic I can perform on this beast with your help! I can only hope I like it, but I think I probably will.

If anyone has any advice for me, warnings, or bits they'd like to share, fire away!

Just Rooted! What now...

So I just rooted my OnePlus One and I want to get the FrancoKernel to save some battery but I don't think it's compatible with the version I am on. I am on CM 12.1.1-YOG7DAS2K1. What are my other options as far as kernels that improve battery life? Also other things I can do to save some battery since I am rooted? Thanks for the help! :D

Note 5 - Initial boot screen is just flashing...cant power off.

My note 5 is completely stock, and it just locked up watching you tube. So i did a soft reset (power+volume down). It powered off for just a second and then started to reboot, the very first screen you see that says "Samsung Galaxy Note 5" and at the bottom "powered by android" came up like normal, but then its just stuck in a loop at that screen, essentially its just flashing. I see that screen for a second, then black, then back to that screen, then black. It never gets past that screen. I cant get it to power off to try to do a hard reset or anything. I've tried the hard reset buttons combo as well, which is (power+up vol.+home screen) no to avail.

Any suggestions? I've had the phone like two weeks....fairly irritated. Of course its on the first Note that you cant take the battery out....

Right now my phone is just sitting here flashing at me....like its mocking me.
