My dad got a new Huawei P8 a few days ago, and with his lack of patience he tried updating to Marshmallow with a beta update zip which caused the phone to get stuck on the Huawei logo upon bootup
I tried a method where I extracted the boot,recovery and system.img from the UPDATE.APP,put them in my ADB/FASTBOOT folder and ran these commands with the phone connected through USB in fastboot mode:
"fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img"
last night,it worked and we started doing a backup on his old phone
Today,when we put his SIM card in,it wouldn't work,and upon another bootup it got stuck on the booting animation (with heavily distorted music)
I tried getting into the EMUI by holding power and vol+,but I just get the EMUI screen for 2 seconds without the ability to pick anything and then it cuts off
The phone was a bit too expensive to use as a paperweight, so I'm hoping someone in here might have some suggestions to sort this out
