I have an old Japanese phone, Casio g'zone Type-x. Since I have never tried to back up a rom before.
I will also need to edit the rom to get the rom to add in gsm frequencies as well, if there is a software requirement for it.
This backup is needed as I plan to change the cdma chipset to a dual cdma/gsm chipset.
So the first thing to do is backup the rom.
Secondly is to edit the rom to handle gsm frequencies.
Third once the chipset is switched flush the phone with the updated rom.
Help with this would be appreciated.
